Pope,the great man of forgiveness
Pope John Paul 11,he is not only a man in the
history, but a man who made the history.The passing away of
this great man is the passing away of an ICON of PEACE.This
is a passing of yet another era of COMMITMENT to the FAITH.
He is the sample of Jesus. He practiced what he preached.So
this generation misses the remarkable and charismatic
person.
One of the most extraordinary events in the life of
John Paul 11 is the 21 minutes he spent in a white -walled
cell in Rome's Rebibia Prison. Just after Christmas,
1983, the Pope visited Mehmet Ali Agca, the man who 30
months earlier had shot him in St Peters Square. He
presented Agca with a silver Rosary, and something else as
well : his forgiveness.
By doing this Holy Father set examble for the great
teaching of the Master on forgiveness. He came forward to
apologize to the world for the world atrocities committed by
the Catholic Church for centuries whether it was against
Muslims, Jews or even to Galileo.
Jesus says " Whenever you stand praying , forgive
,if you have anything against anyone ;so that your Father in
Heaven may also forgive you your trespasses" (Mk 11:
25). Gods forgiveness is great. He forgave all those who
crucified Him.
The prayer which Jesus taught to His disciples also
says to us to forgive . 'Forgive us our debts ( Sins) as
we forgive our debtors ( those who sin against us ) (Mt
6:12).
The famous quotation of Confucius : " If you
devote your life to seeking revenge , first dig two graves
".This forgiveness always helps us to reduce stress.

Feed to Good
A story tells that two friends were walking
through the desert. During some point of the journey
they had an argument and one friend slapped the other
one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt,but without
saying anything,wrote in the sand: "Today my best
friend slapped me in the face".
They kept on walking until they found an
oasis,where they decided to take bath. The one who had
been slapped got stuck in the mire and started
drowning but friend saved him.After he recovered from
the near drowning,he wrote on a stone:"Today my best
friend saved my life".
The friend who had slapped and saved his best
friend asked him "After I hurt you,you wrote in the
sand and now,you write on a stone ,why?"
The other friend replied "When someone hurts us
,we should write it down in sand where winds of
forgiveness can erase it away.But ,when someone does
something good for us , we must engrave it stone where
no wind can ever erase it".
We should learn to write our hurts in the sand
and to carve our benefits in stone.
It is said that it takes a minute to find a
special person,an hour to appreciate them , but an
entire life to forget them .One thing we should
remember that , Do not value the things we have in our
life.But value who we have in our life.
Life is a terrible fight between two wolves .One
is evil:he is
fear,anger,envy,greed,arrogance,self-pity,resentment
and deceit.
The other is
good:joy,serenity,humility,confidence,generosity,truth,gentleness
and compassion.
Which wolf will win in this terrible fight? The
answer is very simple "The one we feed" So feed
to
good and remember the good of others.

The Pope , an Icon of Peace
The Pope John Paul 11 is an ICON of PEACE;he was
the most travelled popular pope who spoke 8 languages
thus communicating the need of the hour-communal
harmony
He was yet another era of COMMITMENT to the
FAITH,he was the sample of Jesus,revolutionary ,
uncompromising on the issue of human dignity.He was
very much CONCERN for LIFE itself.
He was a remarkable man.The youth were so drawn
to him was the way he WALKED THE TALK. In 1983 His
Holiness had a private meeting with the man who wanted
to take his life in 1981.
The Pope was the ' man of the Century'. He was a
trained actor ,athlete,philosopher,theologian,writer
and rehetorican.He was a charismatic leader and also
he was a wonderful leader to the world.
He was the first pope who travelled the whole
world (136 countries) than dozens of his
predecessors.He , in his opposition to abortion and
euthanasia,accused the industrialized world of
fostering ' a culture of death'.
He sought common ground with other faiths ,
especially Islam.He visited 20 Muslim countries.
He took initiative for ending the Cold War,and he
opposed U S intervention in Gulf War and Iraq War.The
Pope was a prophet of justice,peace and human Rights.
He never forgot his his roots,his working class
origins and the struggle of his countrymen against
oppression.He said :"I dont serve any political
leaders ,I serve God"
